Russell Terry is a Partner in the corporate group of Reicker Pfau, a tech-focused law firm in Santa Barbara. His practice includes emerging companies, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and business ventures. Russell also represents institutional investors in alternative investments, as well as managers of private equity and venture capital funds.

 

Russell's clients include a number of impact-focused companies, primarily in the tech space. Russell believes that innovation holds the key to a healthy and sustainable planet. He has helped many of those companies advance their technologies and scale through financing rounds, as well as experience the financial rewards of impact innovation through successful exits.

Russell is involved in several Santa Barbara-based professional and educational groups. Russell serves as a director of Ventech, which promotes innovation and entrepreneurship on the Central Coast. He is also a lecturer and mentor in UCSB's Technology Management Program, where he educates students about startups, fundraising, and exits.

Russell has degrees from UCSB (BA) and The University of Washington School of Law (JD). He is a native of Santa Barbara County and former resident of the Pacific Northwest, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and sustainability. In his spare time, Russell enjoys playing sports and swimming in the ocean with his two sons.
